Punjabi in Lippstadt

A clear recommendation from me.

Great Indian restaurant in the heart of Lippstadt on Lange Strasse. The restaurant is stylishly furnished and decorated. It looks bright and inviting. The staff is very friendly, attentive and competent. The chicken hariyali is excellent and tastes very good. Personally, I can only recommend the Punjabi.

I often go to the restaurant at lunchtime. The price-performance ratio is consistent, the quality is very good. If you like it really hot, you have to emphasize that. Particularly tasty: the fresh naan that is served with every meal. Allegedly the chefs come directly from India and each work in the restaurant for a year.

The food was on the table quickly, the prices reasonable. The ambience is ok, if not great. The food was not really typical Indian. They asked if we would like it spicy. We wanted !!! But it was rather boring. My food steamed and smoked, but unfortunately that didn't come from the heat. The beef felt like goulash and was already very dry. The dips for the starter can also be bought in the supermarket. But you should make them yourself.

The restaurant made no special impression. The waitress had no idea and would like to do her job. Instead, she was constantly on the phone. She didn't even come to take drinks, but at some point came to ask if we had already chosen something to eat. The starter (papadams with dip) didn't even have plates. Then for the main course warm plates were handed out without the hint that they are hot (warm). The food wasn't particularly tasty, I usually know it from the Indian that is well seasoned and has an intense taste. Too little for my feelings here. The highlight was after we had paid and were still sitting at the table, the waitress cleaned the table with a napkin. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it.

The food here is worth recommending. However, the taste depends a lot on the cook. Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to identify the best time to visit the restaurant. One star deduction, as the toilets are only visited by us in an emergency ...

Good kitchen in a messy ambiance.

Small but good Indian who wants something extraordinary to eat is in good hands here. For example, eat with mint sauce, plum, or bannane cherry.

Really good Indian food in Lippstadt.

After 1 hour waiting for our food, we are down to ask when it comes. Answer: where are you sitting? Guests who came later got their food, and ours wasn't even prepared. Very unprofessional and unfriendly, never again.

It is a small but with very nice Indian cuisine it tastes very nice inside

So I just do not understand some reviews here. We were 4 people and everyone loved it. It was really delicious. For the price you can argue, but I think that is fully legit, for what you get. Nevertheless, I found a big drawback: The toilet. She was pretty dirty (at least with the gentlemen). I hope that on this day, the cleaning power has failed and it is not always, otherwise highly recommended.

Great food and reasonable prices. Bring cash, as no cards are accepted.

Service very slow. Brought out the nann bread with the starters so cold by the time the curry eventually arrived. Announcemed at the end that they would only take cash.

A nice restaurant for Indian spicy dishes. Taste is good But less number of options in vegetarian dishes. Usually no need to reserve a table in advance. But on weekends or evenings, it is recommended. They serve food at bit less price in the afternoon menu. Service is nice. Ambience is good.
